The EU Delegation to Ethiopia participated in the European Development Days 2018 with a webinar and a stand, showing strategies, approaches and tools from the Resilience Building Programme in Ethiopia (RESET) that have contributed to successfully mainstream gender and make more visible women and girls' contributions to resilience. Resilience has become a trending topic in the development and humanitarian debates in the past years. In spite of the significant role of women in building the resilience of their communities, their contributions are usually invisible and in practice gender issues have not been properly addressed or clearly mainstreamed in most resilience policies, strategies and programmes.

The RESET programme has been implemented since 2012 with the aim of building people and community's resilience in the most vulnerable areas of Ethiopia.
