Response to increased demand on Government Service and creation of economic opportunities in Uganda (RISE)

Due to the war in Sudan, many lost their jobs, their incomes. The EUTF empowered thousands across eastern Sudan with a new beginning in agriculture, providing solar irrigations systems to counter the water pumps fuel crisis.

For over two years, Sudan’s children have paid the heaviest price of conflict: violence, trauma, displacement, and the loss of their education. In 2021, the EUTF and UNICEF launched IRCSES to integrate refugee children into Sudan’s schools.

In the wake of Sudan’s conflict and mass displacement, the EU is helping keep hospitals running. Through €20.5 million in EU Trust Fund support, WHO is delivering vital medical supplies, restoring services, and sustaining urgent healthcare for those most in need.
