Guinea-Bissau music and video "Cultural Diversity" awarded with a Youth Prize for his Music on Migration

The music and its clip, which were produced in the frame of the sensitization activities put in place throughout the country by the EU-OIM Joint Initiative for Migrant protection and reintegration in Guinea-Bissau have been awarded in the beginning of December in the framework of the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival, in the 18-25 age category. In his music, Adul Embalo sings about diversity in his Guinea-Bissau and in the world.

This award just preceded the Migrations Cultural Festival, jointly organised by IOM and the EU in Gabu on 13th , 14th and 15th of December. The aim of the festival was to sensitise youths and communities on the risks linked to irregular migration and at spotlighting the economic opportunities offered by the EU Emergency Trust Fund for Africa and the EU at large in Guinea Bissau. In this frame, several activities took place : a futsal competition, a sportive demonstration for “a conscious migration”, artistic contests as well as concerts of well-known artists such as Binhan Kimor, Nelson Bomba, Djidji de Malaika, NB One Shot, Netos de Bandim, Piloto de Miolo, Bigs Lions, MSG de Bafatá took place for the pleasure of the large crowd attending the event.
