Situated at the southern entrance to the Red Sea, Djibouti acts as the main gateway and point of transit between the Horn of Africa and the countries of the Gulf. Youth unemployment levels and poverty is particularly high, so many young people look for work in the informal labour market, often acting as brokers for trafficking and smuggling networks.
Our focus is therefore on providing options for alternative employment, as well as improving the management of migratory routes passing through the country.
