
The International labour Organisation (ILO) Ethiopia conducted a five day-long training on Skills Needs Anticipation and Matching for Member States of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in Intercontinental Hotel Addis Ababa in March 2018. The training was part of the EU funded project entled “Free Movement of persons and Transhumance in the IGAD Region: Improving Opportunies for Regular Labour Mobility.”
The training intended to build the capacity of IGAD Member States to understand the central importance of idenfying current and future skill needs and labour market imbalances in a broader context of regional integraon and free movement of persons in the IGAD region. A total of 34 reprresentatives from national TVET Authorities/Agencies, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the IGAD Member States and the IGAD Secretariat took part in the training.
